Gas hydrates in low water content gases : Experimental measurements and modelling using the CPA equation of state
The paper present a novel testing technique and experimental data on the concentration of water in the gas phase in equilibrium with hydrates, hence dehydration requirements, using tuneable diode laser absorption spectroscopy (TDLAS). A Cubic-Plus-Association based Equation-of-State has been used for modelling this challenging fluid/solid system. This work is corner stone of a new phase of a ERPE Joint-Industry-Project with 5 sponsors (£525k) and numerous consultancies through Hydrafact (e.g., Statoil, Total). The results of the work has been implemented in the latest version of Hydrafact software (HydraFLASH) which is being used widely in the industry, giving it an important advantage
