<10>This paper lays out the most complete presentation of the categorical approach to quantum mechanics yet written down. The theory is derived from first principles, a variety of novel algebraic structures are introduced, and numerous concrete examples are presented. This paper was published in a highly-ranked physics journal, and was the first category theory paper published there, thus demonstrating the value the categorical approach to the physics community. Further study of the structures introduced here has motivated many other works.
