Additional information

The paper presents in depth research on the performance of a novel inclined keel concept to improve the efficiency of container vessels. The validity of the approach was demonstrated on a large commercial vessel. The research was carried out as part of the EC STREAMLINE project (Strategic Research for Innovative Marine Propulsion Concepts; 233896; £108k) and further large scale verification, confirming the value of the concept, has been carried out in the same project.
