The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) European Commission on Agriculture (ECA) Working Party on Women and the Family in Rural Development (WPW) is a statutory body providing a forum to foster dialogue on the situation of rural women, women’s organizations in rural development, and gender policy in Europe / Central Asia. Walker was contracted to prepare a paper for representatives from 25 European / Central Asian countries, as well as the FAO, International Labour Office, International Organization for Migration and the United National Development Programme, on the Impacts of Migration on Rural Households at the WPW Session in Budapest (2009).
