Additional information

Vidal's output is the peer-reviewed edited collection Cinema at the Periphery. As co-editor of the collection, she contributed to defining the conceptual basis of the volume and acted as first editor for a third of the chapters. Dina Iordanova, David Martin-Jones and Vidal jointly authored the “Introduction: A Peripheral View of World Cinema.” This Introduction situates the rise of world cinemas in relation to contemporary critical debates about transnational cinemas and multiculturalism. Vidal's own chapter (p 211-231) is an original case study that investigates marginalised popular traditions in relation to national cinemas as a mode of the peripheral.
