Additional information

A packet-based deadband control approach is proposed for networked control systems (NCS). Compared with previously reported packet-based control approaches, the proposed approach takes full advantage of the packet-based data transmission in NCS, and thus considerably reduces the use of communication resources whilst maintaining the system performance at a satisfactory level. A stabilized controller design method is obtained using time delay switched system theory, which has not been achieved in previously reported packet-based control approaches. This work has been further developed in more than 7 journal papers co-authored by G.P.Liu and 2 of them have been published in IEEE journals.
