<26> This counter-intuitive approach (moving known samples) together with a novel light space parameterisation and PCA (in submission "Photon Parameterisation for Robust Relaxation Constraints") gives a high quality production rendering approach. This is one of two key papers that led to EPSRC grant EP/I031243/1 and to filing US Patent (US 2012/0038644A1). Invited for inclusion in SIGGRAPH State-of-the-Art Tutorial (http://s2012.siggraph.org/attendees/sessions/state-art-photon-density-estimation). Image from this paper won 2009 Computer Graphics Forum cover competition (Computer Graphics Forum 28(2009)172).
