Additional information

This article investigates an innovative approach to predict fibre distribution and orientation in fibre-suspended self compacting concrete flow. It demonstrates the significant potential of the methodology in predicting fibre distribution and orientation during the flow of self compacting concrete. The work was highly commended by Laing O'Rourke Plc (Dr John Stehle, JStehle@laingorourke.com), who provided encouraging feedback for further development of this work. Currently two PhD students (one funded by Laing O'Rourke Plc) are pursuing this, and developing more industrial applications of the proposed methodologies of this paper.
