Additional information

A methodology suitable for performing the fatigue assessment of notched components under variable amplitude uniaxial/multiaxial fatigue loading is formalised and validated through a comprehensive experimental programme. This demonstrated that the methodology is highly accurate, and can be applied as a simple post-processing operation on the results from standard linear-elastic finite-element models. This was implemented in the Multi-FEAST 2.4 software (copyright document: 007849-D007048,www.siae.it) and the method is now being evaluated for implementation by industry leading supplier Safe Technology (www.safetechnology.com, Reference contact: Dr John Draper, john.draper@safetechnology.com).
