<22>This work was carried out within the EC-funded Network of Excellence REWERSE. While there has been a lot of work on nonmonotonic rules for the semantic web, this paper was the first to provide an extension of the basic semantic web language, called ERDF, that is fully faithful to the full semantics of RDF/RDFS. This type of language is an important foundation for modeling business rules. JAIR is a highly respected journal, among the top journals in the area of artificial intelligence.
