This work was part of a major £5M project on integrated approaches to design and manufacturing supported by industrial partners Bombardier, Thales and Caterpiller. The capability led to follow on projects applied to composite structures with Bombardier procurement (Stephen Cowan: General Manager Supply Chain) and invited conference papers (e.g. ICMR 2013).
