Additional information

Differences between the two outputs result from additional, original reflection on the data in preparation of the final published paper from this study.

This further analysis refined the findings to describe two key areas; each more fully conceptually developed with a clearer link with extant literature. There is greater integration of data within and between the categories.

Further analysis also led to a fuller discussion of gendered nature of unequal access to career enhancing assignments in the BJM article and how practices observed in study are indicative of how gendered norms pervade organisational structure.

The conclusions/limitations are more developed.
