Steddy, currently a PhD student of linguistics at MIT, contributed the OT analysis described in section 2 which he developed under the supervision of Samek-Lodovici while still an undergraduate student of his at UCL Italian department. Samek-Lodovici structured and wrote the entire article and all subsequent revisions. He also identified and addressed the theoretical issues raised by Steddy’s analysis. Samek-Lodovici is also entirely responsible for the analytical predictions described in section 2.5 and the in-depth comparison with previous analyses in section 3.
