Apparatus and method for adjusting filter frequency in relation to sampling frequency
This patent was fully granted by US Patent office in July 2010. It was developed in collaboration with Optimum Power Technology, a US company, who now market worldwide a product containing this concept. They are working with larger companies to licence the technology. This idea is a first in low-pass filtering for electronic signals that tracks the sampling rate. The filter frequency is automatically set to the optimum value for noise reduction and tracks sampling frequency even at variable sampling rate. This give best results without manual setting and allows the filter to follow the sampling under dynamic logging conditions.
