Additional information
The paper investigated the residual stress magnitude from two modes of welding. The work was supported by an EPSRC platform grant, EP/E001874/1. The research has the potential to benefit the industrial laser processing community by improving their understanding of process selection for critical structural welding applications, contact Dr John Powell JPowell@laserexp.co.uk.
