Additional information

The broadcast channel is a fundamental building block of wireless communication networks, but the design of broadcast protocols is challenging as this channel is severely limited by co-channel interference. This paper, a key deliverable of an EPSRC grant (EP/F062079 £230,180: PI Ding) , proposes a paradigm to increase the reception reliability and throughput of wireless transmission. The developed protocols are demonstrated to improve the data transfer rate two times, and are applicable to various practical scenarios, including telecommunication systems and wireless sensor networks. The work was an international collaboration between Newcastle, Imperial College London and Massachusetts University.
