Additional information

<22>Another significant output from an EPSRC project, this paper presented the first work to successfully devise a set of properties, in a very general setting, that demonstrate the convergence of agents’ belief revision and merging with uncertain beliefs and uncertain inputs. This framework is significant in that it reveals new insight into how an autonomous agent should manage its belief change so as to be as close as possible to, and consistent with, human reasoning. It was selected as a best paper from FLAIRS 2009 (Uncertainty Reasoning Track) for a special issue of the International Journal of Approximate Reasoning.
