Additional information

<22>This paper presents a fundamentally general hybridization of widely used heuristics in exam timetabling and graph colouring research. We develop a deeper understanding of heuristic hybridizations and thus we facilitate more general and robust search methodologies to automatically adapt heuristics for solving a wider range of problems. This paper is published in one of the flagship journals in Operational Research, which is ranked in the very highest category by the Committee of Professors in Operational Research (COPIOR).
