The core component of the output is the co-authored headnote essay, ‘On value and necessity…’ (pp. 67-79). McKinney having contributed the foundational scholarship underpinning the ‘Problematics and ecologies of value’ section and on Arvidsson, Wallis as principal author contributed the other scholarship and forged the line of argument. This was then developed iteratively on a collaborative basis into the completed article. Editing the ‘On value’ special issue was conducted on an emphatically collaborative basis, with agreed division of responsibilities, joint decision-making and equal contributions.
