Awarded the 2011 PSA Richard Rose Prize for the contribution this research makes to the study of British Politics. The judges found that that the article 'opens up a new stage in gender studies’. The article explains how gender equality policy in a mainstream policy domain is successfully implemented, focusing on the crucial role of resources feminists in and close to the core executive.
