The Eurocode EN1993-1-6 (norm by which engineers in Europe comply with) is a relatively new using completely new concepts. The paper is planned for inclusion in the next edition of the Eurocode and its recommendations. Further research resulting from the paper identified an error in the Eurocode, which has been incorporated into the recommendation and will be incorporated into the Eurocode in its next edition.
