<21> Winner of Best Paper Award (given to top 1% of submissions). CHI is the leading international venue for HCI research, implementing a double-blind review process with a rebuttal stage. CHI 2009 accepted 25% of submissions. A two-year engagement with Alton Towers amusement park established a radical new approach to generating group souvenirs by combining personal and park photos. Our rigorous approach involved initial ethnographic study, prototyping, and an evaluation study at the park. The work has since been taken up by the Acropolis Museum, Cite de L’Espace space museum and Nottingham Forest football club in follow up projects.
