Funded by the Cariplo Foundation, this was an interdisciplinary collaboration led by Foot (Kingston) and Tavazzi (Milan) on the production of macroscopic and nanoscale organic-inorganic hybrids, with a view to providing efficient electroluminescent materials. O’Malley was funded as a PDRA at Kingston, and Papagni was also a visiting professor associated with the Materials and Composites Research Centre at Kingston.
