Additional information

<22>The paper provides a general framework and model for conducting different types of dialogues amongst intelligent agents using argumentation, in a way that guarantees correct arguments and sharing of information. It led to EPSRC project TrADAr (EP/J020915/1 £583.8K) which uses the dialogue model to support collaborative decision making, in general and for medical decisions. The model has been implemented in JADE, in two-agent collaborative settings representing different hospitals, for clinical trials of patients with brain methastasis (collaboration with Dr Matthrew Williams at Charing Cross Hospital). ECAI is top European AI conference. Acceptance: 28%/563. Research student: Xiuyi Fan.
