Additional information

Understanding real-world energy consumption for electric vehicles is a key requirement highlighted by industry and Government (e.g.: “range Anxiety”). Through collaboration with the Morgan Motor Company (MMC) (Knowledge Transfer Partnership – KTP007385) driving data from the TSB funded SMART MOVE 2 trail was codified within a new framework for vehicle energy management. The research underpinned the creation of new test cases to validate design and component selection of the “Morgan +E”. The electric vehicle was launched at the Geneva Motor show (2011). The organization is productionising the concept with anticipated sales worth £2M within three years. Steve Morris, Managing Director, Steve.Morris@morgan-motor.co.uk
