Additional information

This work has led to the creation of an on-line resource, http://neurosynth.org which enables other researchers to mine an ever-growing library of neuroimaging meta-analysis data, allowing them to quickly conduct searches based on key-words. The tool allows both "forward" (traditional) inference and "reverse" inferences; reference inference is essential for decoding the cognitive state uniquely associated with a pattern of brain activity. Such decoding is not feasible without such a massive, annotated meta-analytic database such as this.
