Dr Mark O’Neill is a consultant cardiologist and was promoted to Reader in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology in the Division of Imaging Sciences in 2011. Dr O’Neill’s research responsibilities include actions as PhD primary supervisor to three graduate students within the Division, PhD cosupervisor to one graduate student in the Department of Psychology and Research supervisor to one Academic Clinical Fellow in the Cardiovascular Division. Dr O’Neill is Research lead for clinical cardiac electrophysiology at KHP, Electrophysiology lead for MR-EP research programme, Electrophysiology lead for XMR and research facility project, 4th Floor, North Wing and Clinical lead for cardiac arrhythmia research at the NIHR Healthcare Technology Cooperative for cardiovascular technologies.
Dr O’Neill is a current grant holder at KCL of 5 research grants (PI on 3 grants, co-applicant on 2). His research grants are held within the division of Imaging Sciences and his authorships are from within that Division also. Since Dr O’Neill’s promotion to Reader in 2011, he has published 20 new Pubmed-cited manuscripts, 1 book chapter and edited one edition of Heart Failure Clinics of North America.
