Additional information

This chapter was co-authored with a cognitive scientist and leading choreographer on the topic of their collaborative research. It was published in a collection of wide-ranging articles covering choreographic enquiry, investigation into the creative process, and traditional understandings of dance making. The collection is the first to include this kind of interdisciplinary research alongside traditional humanities based dance scholarship. The chapter is used as the basis for public presentations made by the authors aiming to shift the public’s perceptions about the possible relationships between dance and science.
