Additional information

An experimental study of a rotating system containing a shaft with simulated cracks. Uses an industrial scale motor/generator/shaft system with different simulated cracks. The research enables the detection of cracks using vibration data collected at sites remote from the shaft. The work is a significant step forward since previous studies have focused on measurements based near the crack position, a situation difficult to implement in reality.
