Additional information

This describes the development of biological AND, OR and NAND logic gates, an essential precursor to controlling intracellular function through biological digital devices in synthetic biology. Resulting Presentations: 2010 NTU + International Synthetic Biology Conference, Singapore; 2011 Harden Conference and Seminar to Main Board at Agilent Inc, Santa Clara; 2012 CSIRO Conference Sydney and NTU; 2013 Nice. Grants: the work led to the £1.04M EC FP7 ST-FLOW award to 14 leading European research groups for developing material and computational standards that enable the forward-design of prokaryotic systems.
