Additional information

This work shows the significant knowhow acquired in the processing optimisation of conductive CNT-based polymer composites, as a result of the FP6-NMP project INTELTEX (total budget £3.4m) on smart textile. It was presented as invited and keynote talks at several conferences (i-PolyMat 2010, The Netherlands; BPF Seminar on “Conductive Polymers”, 2011, UK; ECCM 2012, Italy) and led to the set-up of and participation in another EU FP7-NMP project (IMS&CPS; total budget £4.9m) as well as a strategic partnership with a main CNT producer (Nanocyl S.A., Belgium) on the exploitation of CNTs in polymer fibres (michael.claes@nanocyl.com).
