Additional information

This is the first paper to address the question of the mechanism by which nanotube membranes are electrically modified by metal nanoparticles. The question underpins the usage of these hybrid systems in gas sensing, flexible electronics, and substrates for optical probing of complex molecules. The output follows from a PhD studentship supported by the QMUL-Imperial College Plastic Electronics Doctoral Training Centre.
