Additional information

A static output feedback control is formulated for delay systems with quite general bounds on the disturbances. The novelty lies in the reduction of conservatism and the enhancement of robustness in comparison to existing approaches. The control scheme obviates the need for extra equipment to measure the system states, which will also save resources. The study permits reduction in energy consumption. The contribution to both sliding mode control and delay systems led to invitations to X Yan to visit the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and make a presentation to the Mexico-European Union Network Research Initiative on 19/05/2011 (lfridman@unam.mx).
