Additional information

This paper reports the novel design and application of combined circular and arch-shaped electrostatic sensor arrays incorporating data fusion techniques to the quantitative characterization of pneumatically conveyed pulverized coal and biomass-coal blends. The paper resulted in successful demonstration trials of the technology for emissions reduction from power generation at Tilbury, the largest biomass fired power plant in the world (Corporate Engineer, gerry.riley@RWEnpower.com). The paper led to Yan being appointed an IEEE Distinguished Lecturer and being invited to give a keynote lecture at EUROCON 2013 in Croatia (http://www.eurocon2013.org/).
