Additional information

Using a large dataset collected especially for this work the impact of this study enables a statistical evaluation of forensic writer identity based on extracted features from an unknown writer. The novel work was the first to assess differences within writer demographics and the writing tasks that were undertaken, thereby forming a strong platform for further work in this field with the aim of providing a metricised evidential system for legal cases. The work led to Guest being appointed to a number of journal and conference refereeing panels (including Human Movement Science, JDFE and IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation & Measurement).
