Additional information

This research led directly to the Council for Refugee Academics (CARA) project 'Design and Synthesis of Wide Band Fractal Antennas for On-body Communications using Method-of-Moments' (IRFP http://www.cara1933.org/, £17,000). This funded international fellowships, allowing three staff from Iraqi universities to visit the UK for collaborative research (Dr Hayder Al-Sabbah and Mr Hayder Al-battat, Basra University; Mr Farhad Mahmood, University of Mosul; Mrs Saba Al-Rubaye, Brunel University). These ongoing collaborations are now developing new antennas systems for mobile communications.
