Additional information
Jansen’s chapter in this edited volume follows eight years of research in Morocco resulting in the first study of fashion design in the country. The research identifies three generations of Moroccan fashion designers and how they succeeded in adjusting their vestimentary heritage to rapid socio-cultural and economic-political changes in Moroccan society over the last fifty years. The chapter is the development of a paper I presented in September 2012 at the 4th Global Fashion Conference at Oxford University.
