Double-weighted statement

This monograph is the result of 5 years' work. It is 230 pages and 90,000 words in length. Research for this output necessitated original scholarship conducted at the National Archives, requiring significant commitments of time as new documents were periodically declassified and made available during the life of the project. The research associated with this output was especially complex as it required the first scholarly evaluation of thousands of pages of intelligence records, as well as mastery of the secondary literature from two hitherto separate disciplines (British literary history and intelligence history).
