This is a contribution to the AHRC/BA/CNRS funded Aerial View Project led by Mark Dorrian. The contributions were developed in a series of workshops and seminars in Edinburgh and Paris. The peer reviewed book contains essays by such scholars as Stephen Bann and Marina Warner. In his review for the publisher IB Tauris, Paul Carter said it was "a virtuoso collection of essays". The French edition has been published in Geneva in 2012 (Metis Presses). The essay is also being prepared for a publication in German/Polish with Herder-Institut, Marburg in 2014.
