Integrated management tools in South East Europe
Developed through the Council of Europe’s Institutional Capacity Building Plan via Regional Programme for the Cultural and Natural Heritage in South East Europe, this book is the culmination of the collaborative research and expert contributions concerning eight countries-in-transition focussing on the development of integrated management systems for the architectural and archaeological heritage via inventory systems, environmental assessment, spatial planning, permit systems, coercive measures and penalties. It is the second of three volumes aimed at restructuring national heritage policies, subsequently developed through joint initiatives by Council of Europe and European Union in South-East Europe (2003 – 2014), including through the “Ljubljana Process”.
