Additional information

This paper presents a unique goal-directed life cycle costing (LCC) method that can be used to evaluate economic feasibility of innovative low carbon technologies for building construction. It provides a methodlogy for goal directed LCC using cost influence diagrams. The work contributed to the subsequent development of energy simulation models in transparent insulation materials (Wong et al. 2012) and development of prediction models of heating and cooling energy demands for different building variants (by Eames et al. 2008). It resulted in Wong being invited for a CPD lecture series on LCC by the RICS Scotland in 2011 & 2012.
