This paper was the result of a collaboration with Xi'an Jiaotong University China (2010-11). The paper came to the attention of two external parties namely Thermacore Europe Ltd. and Brunel University to the effect that the Prof. Agnew was seconded to a FP7 project 'NanoHex', the world's largest collaborative project for the research and development of nanofluid coolants (Grant No 228882), as technical advisor and became a co-investigator on the EPSRC 'OPTITHERM' project (EP/O61467/1).
