Additional information

Thin-walled composite box beams are widely applied in many fields of structural engineering, especially for helicopter and wind turbine blades. Due to coupling in structure and material, understanding the flexural-torsional response of these structures becomes an important task for design. In the research, supported by the Korean Ministry of Construction and Transportation (Grant 2002-F02-01) into the Development of Structural Members using Advanced Composite Materials, a finite element model was used to solve this complicated behaviour.
