Additional information

Co-authored with a researcher from Bauhaus Luftfahrt (German interdisciplinary research institute) and resulting from an FP6 funded project, SimSAC (FP6-030838 with 17 European partners) this paper describes part of the theory behind CEASIOM (Computerised Environment for Aircraft Synthesis and Integrated Optimisation Methods) - the final and most important product of the project (http://www.ceasiom.com). The universal platform for multi-criteria assessment and design enhancement of large multi-disciplinary design problems is applicable to any real-world multidisciplinary design problems and is being used as the base of a new EPSRC research proposal for integrated design of buildings, transferring knowledge from Aerospace to Construction.
