Additional information

The first demonstration of chirality being induced in organic conducting materials using the novel method of crystallisation from a chiral solvent. Led to the award of Royal Society Grants (Research £15,000, 2011-12; International Exchange IE130367 £9,000, 2013-15) to search for other members of this family with novel properties. The significance of this work was recognised by invited talks at the Japan Chemical Society Annual Meeting, Osaka, March 2010 and at the European Union’s COST-D35 workgroup “From Molecules to Molecular Devices” at the CNRS unit at Angers University, France (June 2010).
