Cardiovascular magnetic resonance myocardial feature tracking detects quantitative wall motion during dobutamine stress
This paper reports the clinical value of the new method of feature tracking to evaluate myocardial wall motion during dobutamine stress cardiac MRI which is an important technique for identifying ischaemic and hibernating myocardium in patients with coronary artery disease. We showed that this new method overcomes problems of observer-error and reproducibility, especially seen with less trained observers, and therefore allows the doubtamine stress MRI technique to become much more widely applicable. In our centre we have now integrated feature-tracking as part of our dobutamine stress MRI protocol. This paper was published in one of the leading medical imaging journals.
