Additional information

<23>This is the first work to use manifold learning for propagating information across entire populations of images for the purposes of image segmentation. The technology described in the paper has been patented and is currently being actively commercialized by the Imperial College spin-off company IXICO (http://www.ixico.com/). In addition, the publication has had significant impact in informing healthcare policy: The European Medicine Agency (EMA) has issued a positive opinion on the use of the technology to enhance recruitment into regulated clinical trials in the pre‐dementia stage of Alzheimer’s disease. The opinion of the EMA directly refers to this paper.
