Additional information

<04>A novel and smart wireless link-layer with the aim of fairer distribution of resources is proposed in this paper. The idea, although studied in the technical context of mobile networks, is mainly driven from the social sciences and how fair distribution of resources can improve overall satisfaction in society. This design allows mobile users with limited coverage to receive the best throughput depending on their TCP constraints. This research was part of Mobile VCE core-4 programme in wireless efficiency. Further extension of this work received best paper award in the IEEE International Conference on Communication (ICC) in 2010.
