This paper demonstrated a compact and tuneable laser source in the mid-IR wavelength range and is the result of a KTP project led by Prof. Rafailov. These lasers have significant applications in the area of gas sensing and is attracting commercial interest from several Scottish companies including M Squared Lasers Ltd. and Cascade Technologies.
