Additional information

<20> This paper demonstrates and evaluates highly novel interaction techniques for multi-touch surfaces. This paper was the first to demonstrate the use of physics modeling in gesture-based interactions on an interactive surface. It has become highly cited. Key elements of the work were patented and have contributed to released Microsoft Surface technology. The paper was published at UIST (22% acceptance rate), and was awarded Best Paper (given to single best paper that year).
